What is the Angel Program?

The Angel Program exists to support our families impacted by financial hardships. Our school counselor assists these families in identifying community resources.  Volunteers within Newcastle Elementary fulfill additional family requests. Each of our families/students and volunteers remain anonymous

Be Brave.

Privacy of all requests will be respected. From a winter coat to school supplies, rain boots to a birthday gift, our school counselor, Kailey Mutter, is available to help in a time of need. Please send an email to mutterk@issaquah.wednet.edu.

Be an Angel. Become an Angel Donor.

Angel Donors directly impact the health and well-being of Newcastle students. Anyone can be an Angel Donor by shopping, purchasing and/or delivering requests. Email newcastleptsa.angel@gmail.com for inquiries.

Be a Model.

Demonstrate to your student the importance of giving and receiving. Be the foundation and build a stronger community.

Fall Food Drive

We are excited to announce our upcoming Food Drive to support our local community! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and make a positive impact on those in need.

Food Drive Details:

  • Drop-off Location: There will be a bin at the main school entrance and one on the inside near the main office for kids to place donations in.

We are seeking non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and snacks. Every donation counts, no matter how big or small!

How you can help:

  1. Donate: Bring your food items to school during Oct 7 - 25.
  2. Spread the word: Share with friends and family.
  3. Volunteer: If you’re interested in helping with collection or organization, please reach out to Newcastleptsa.outreach@gmail.com.

Together, we can make a difference and support those who are facing food insecurity in our community. Thank you for your generosity and support!

4th & 5th Grade Mom’s Night Out

We are having a special Mom’s night out at The Coalman in Newcastle. The venue has limited space so we must limit the event to the first 30 4th & 5th grade moms who sign up. Mention you are there with Newcastle Elementary and a portion of the sales goes back to the PTSA. 😊

We will be hosting additional Mom’s Night Out for everyone else.

Along with checking the playground for items they may have left. All items are marked when placed in the Lost & Found (thanks to our amazing Lost & Found Chair) and will be donated after 1 month.

ARTICLE 2:

ISD Building Mondernization & Construction Bond will be on the November 5, 2024 Ballot - learn the facts here!

Issaquah School District is asking the community to consider a school modernization and construction bond in the November 5, 2024 election. School construction and modernization are minimally funded by the state, which is why school districts rely on local, voter-approved bond funding. Funding from the bond would be used to modernize buildings and infrastructure, giving every student in our district access to secure schools and innovative learning experiences that prepare them for their future. Bond funding would preserve our investment in facilities and ensure efficient and sustainable operations.

The bond proposal package was developed with the input of more than 60 community members, parents/guardians, staff and students who volunteered on the district's Bond Advisory Committee over the span of three months in the spring.

Read More Here about what is funded in the bond:  https://visvote.org/2024/08/09/what-is-in-the-school-construction-modernization-bond-on-the-nov-5-2024-ballot-read-here/
