Don’t miss out on the 2022-2023 yearbook for your student! Each copy is $26. The final deadline to order is Wednesday, April 5. To purchase, go to http://newcastleptsa.org/Home and click on the ‘yearbook’ icon in the left column list and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.
Note: If you do not remember if you have already ordered a copy, go to the PTSA website, click on ‘my account’, log in, and go to “current orders”. A confirmation of your purchase will appear on that screen.
Lunch for the Break provides nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack options for children attending school in the Issaquah School District. The program helps alleviate hunger during school breaks by providing a week's worth of free grocery items for students to be able to prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for themselves.
The next Lunch for the Break will be Thursday, April 6, 1:00 - 7:00 pm. Please REGISTER HERE before 5:00 pm on Monday, April 3.
Shopping takes place at the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank. Shopping times may be assigned to help minimize wait times. Families can choose from a variety of produce, dairy, proteins, snacks and other kid-friendly breakfast/lunch non-perishable items.
If you have not yet registered for kindergarten, please do so NOW! The deadline has passed to allow for planning of classrooms, so please help us spread the word to anyone you may know who has an incoming kindergartner. Link to register is HERE.
Would you like to help set the direction for the PTSA? Want to be more “in the know” about what happens at school? Interested in meeting new people? All while working in service of our students? Then please consider joining our PTSA Executive Board. We’re made up of parents from all different backgrounds and experiences, just like our community. We have caregivers who work full-time and part-time, and those who do not work outside the home. There’s a place for everyone. You can learn more about the various roles on the Board and the time commitment (typically less than 3-5 hours per month) HERE. If you’re interested in learning more or have someone you think would be great on the board, please contact Whitney Walker at whitneywalker@hotmail.com.

The Newcastle PTSA is a non-profit organization which supports and advocates for the children and families of Newcastle Elementary School within the Issaquah School District. In partnership with families, the community, teachers, and staff we provide the funding, programs, and volunteers to enrich the educational experience for every child. Our PTSA is most successful when we come together as a community to achieve our goals.
Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting this mission; grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, friends and community businesses. A membership costs $25 per family (2 Adults), $15 for an individual, and $10 for a staff member. Our goal is to have 100% participation from all our Newcastle families, teachers and staff.
Wondering what programs your membership helps fund? In the past, the PTSA has funded:
- Monthly art curriculum, teaching and art supplies
- Family events like the Costume Carnival, Science Fair, and Multicultural Night
- Educational enrichment events like the Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, and Math Adventures
- Student activities including assemblies and the annual book fair
- Teacher grants for things like in-classroom books, supplies, special class events
- Funding to support innovative educational ideas
- Yearbooks, Gift-A-Book, spirit wear and popcorn Fridays
- After school programs like robotics, math assistance and Sponge language classes
- Community outreach like the holiday toy drive and lunch for the break
We are committed to identifying and executing programs to help ease the educational burden for our families, find ways to reunite us – students, parents and staff – as a community of Newcastle Lions, and help our students engage in enriching educational experiences that will benefit the “whole child”.
