The Newcastle PTSA is a non-profit organization which supports and advocates for the children and families of Newcastle Elementary School within the Issaquah School District. In partnership with families, the community, teachers, and staff we provide the funding, programs, and volunteers to enrich the educational experience for every child. Our PTSA is most successful when we come together as a community to achieve our goals.

Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting this mission; grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, friends and community businesses.  A membership costs $25 per family (2 Adults), $15 for an individual, and $10 for a staff member. Our goal is to have 100% participation from all our Newcastle families, teachers and staff.

Wondering what programs your membership helps fund? In the past, the PTSA has funded:

- Monthly art curriculum, teaching and art supplies

- Family events like the Costume Carnival, Science Fair, and Multicultural Night

- Educational enrichment events like the Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, and Math Adventures

- Student activities including assemblies and the annual book fair

- Teacher grants for things like in-classroom books, supplies, special class events

- Funding to support innovative educational ideas

- Yearbooks, Gift-A-Book, spirit wear and popcorn Fridays

- After school programs like robotics, math assistance and Sponge language classes

- Community outreach like the holiday toy drive and lunch for the break

We are committed to identifying and executing programs to help ease the educational burden for our families, find ways to reunite us – students, parents and staff – as a community of Newcastle Lions, and help our students engage in enriching educational experiences that will benefit the “whole child”.
